What is the Source, Type or Grade of MGH Hair?
At My Gem Hair our hair quality are broken into 3 simple categories - 100% Economy Human hair, Virgin Remy hair and Virgin/Raw Hair - defined below:
Human Hair – Economy
100% human hair that is processed but has not been mixed with any kind of synthetic or heat resistant fibres. Very good quality hair – for a holiday, wedding or other special occasions which can be washed, straightened and used for upwards of 3-4 months. Economy only based on weight being from 75g to 90g.
Virgin Remy Hair
The term ‘Remy’ refers to the special process of aligning the natural direction of the cuticles of 100% Virgin human hair safeguarding the hair from damage. Additionally, hair strands of varying shades are blended in to maintain its natural appearance. It may be gathered from different donors. Virgin Remy Hair is only different from Virgin Hair because of this special process. It can be bleached, dyed, straightened, and re-used.
Virgin/Raw Hair
100% real raw virgin human hair that has never been altered by any chemical process. Virgin hair is premium quality human hair, whether Brazilian, Peruvian, Indian or Chinese in origin. It lasts the longest of the range. The hair is sourced from a single donor, has never been chemically treated, and comes from donors with healthy hair. Cuticles remain intact and can be treated exactly how you would treat your own natural hair – bleach, dye, straighten. If you are looking for a long-term investment that can be re-used over years, this comes highly recommended.
Source: Currently, our hair extensions are sourced from India and China and are all hand woven not machine woven. Brazilian and Peruvian hair are also now part of our range.
What are the Pros of MGH Human Hair?
The quality of virgin hair is undisputed, but great quality always comes at a some cost. We use our own hair and having fallen prey to low quality hair labeled as virgin hair, we have taken great pains to ensure you pay for what the pack says.

What does ‘Natural hair colour’ mean?
Most people regard #1B (off-black) as ‘Natural color’.
However, colours #1, #2 and #4 etc. are not necessarily processed colours as Raw Virgin hair of course comes in various colours and hues.
Colour #1 represent jet black
Colour #2 represents dark brown
Colour #4 represents light brown
Colour #613 is blond. You could also have the top as colour #1B and the rest of the hair as #613. This type of colour combination is described as colour #1B/613.
All our Virgin Hair can be bleached and dyed to any colour.
How do I style My Gem Hair?
- If you style your hair a lot, either blow drying or with straighteners, use a heat protector spray so that less damage is caused.
- Separate hair to avoid matting and detangle hair gently with extension brush.
- Always blow dry your hair on a low setting
- Do not use wax or oils near your hair extension bonds.
- Do not twist or play with the hair extension seals as they may loosen.
- Extensions can be tinted, and colored.
- Do not attempt to remove your hair extensions yourself.

What is the period and cost of delivery?
All orders are shipped same day Monday to Friday subject to stock availability. Orders not immediately available are shipped within 1 – 2 days from date of order. Deliveries should be expected within 48 hours – 9 days from date of order.
